Day 2 | Get Rid of Incandescent Bulbs

Any incandescent light bulbs that you own should be changed out immediately for their more efficient cousins, compact fluorescent bulbs or LEDs (light-emitting diodes). They, shockingly, use 3 to 5 percent of the energy that is supplied them in light, using the rest in heat. In comparison, compact fluorescent bulbs use 20 percent of that energy and LEDs use about 70%.
