Thrift and resale stores allow you to buy something that you've never had before without a new thing being produced because someone has already owned your purchase. Even though some things might be worn down, not all of them are, and you can also get things like cutlery, dishes, and handbags from resale stores. Plus, most of the things you'll find are unique and enjoyable, and you can take your own old stuff to thrift stores for someone else to find.
