How to Change Everything by Naomi Klein and Rebecca Stefoff is a perfect introduction to climate change, climate injustice, and the Green New Deal (which would fix both at the same time). It's written for youth ages 10 and up; I'd recommend it for anyone old enough to handle the full scope of the climate crisis and its accompanying injustices who might enjoy its approachable language. The book isn't purely a manual on how to change everything--most of it is taken up by a (necessary and well-written) explanation of what needs to be changed--but the last chapter has plenty of activism suggestions for young people. How to Change Everything is also inspiring, giving profiles of young climate activists and written with lots of hope for its target generation. Additionally, it contains a discussion guide with thought-provoking questions related to its subject matter. It's a very good introduction to the climate crisis, for the generation that will hopefully live through it.
