Container Gardening

If you want to have a garden but lack space (or do have a garden but want more space), then a good idea would be to start container gardening. Container gardening is growing plants—fruit, flowers, succulents, vegetables, and more—in a container as opposed to in the ground.
For container gardening, all you need is a container, a plant, and soil. It’s best to use potting soil for container gardening, as it is clean of bugs and contains nutrients. Also, make sure your pot has drainage holes, so the plant won’t drown. Simply plant whatever you choose to grow in the pot and care for it according to its care tag. (If it doesn’t have one, look it up online or in a plant encyclopedia.)
You can move container gardens around easily and bring them indoors in certain seasons (or all the time if you don’t have outdoor space) as long as they receive enough light. Potted plants can occasionally be stolen; ones in a front yard should be big, and you can lock them up if crime is a problem in your area. Also, be aware that potted plants need more water than ones outside of plants because there simply isn’t as much soil to soak up water. Potted plants with simpler needs, like cacti, make great gifts. They are amazing options that can exist with, or instead of, bigger gardens.
